In this
issue I'm featuring an intermediate-level piano piece that
focuses on developing a basic boogie woogie left hand walking
bass line. All of the chords in the right hand can be played
as written, or can be changed rhythmically in order for the
player to practice improvisation. Have fun with this piece,
and don't spend too much time trying to play all of the right
hand notes perfectly. As long as the left hand quarter note
pulse is steady, the right hand should be free to improvise.
One thing to note is that all eighth notes are to be played
with a triplet swing feel.
